Job Title: General Manager
Location: Sun Peaks, BC (Canada’s Second-Largest Ski Area)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
We are seeking an entrepreneurial, high-energy General Manager to launch and lead a brand-new, independent premium liquor store in the heart of the vibrant Sun Peaks Resort mountain community. If you are a seasoned liquor retail leader with a passion for exceptional craft beers, fine wines & spirits—and you prefer a chairlift or a mountain bike trail over a gridlock commute—this is the career breakthrough you’ve been looking for.
The Role
As our founding General Manager, you will possess total operational ownership of this brand-new retail space. You aren't just managing an established routine; you will actively build the culture, selection and design the guest experience.
Key Objectives:
- The Launch: Oversee the initial store opening, setup, and spatial merchandising.
- Operations & Culture: Drive daily operations, financial performance, inventory curation, and local community outreach.
- Team Leadership: Hire, train, mentor, and schedule a high-performing customer service team.
What You Bring
- 3–5 years of liquor management experience, ideally within the liquor retail, hospitality, or fine food and beverage sectors.
- Valid Serving It Right certification (or immediate willingness to obtain it).
- Strong financial acumen, including experience managing budgets, labor margins, P&L reporting, and shrinkage control.
- Experience using Clear POS is an asset but training on this system can be provided to the right candidate.
- Deep product knowledge across BC craft beers, VQA wines, and international spirits.

- Competitive annual salary based on experience: $60,000–$70,000 range.
